Why can't I login to my account?
Typically, login problems are associated with cookies. Make sure your browser and/or firewall are set to allow all cookies and not blocking third party cookies.
Can anyone sign up as a member?
Anyone from around the world over the age of 13 may sign up as a member. However, only English Language Sites Are Accepted.
How long does it take to set up my membership?
Your membership is instantly set up once you submit your information and activate your account via the welcome email you receive.
Why must I Activate my account?
To help prevent automated, multiple signups and to confirm your email address so we can reach you with any important news about our service. It's best to use an email address you check often, so you do not miss news of vital interest. We will not bombard you with junk mail. However, you may receive up to 2 emails per week.
How do I earn credits?
Every time you surf using your browser, and wait 20 seconds before leaving the page, you are earning credits. Furthermore, you will earn credits whenever the members in your downline surf Hillbillihits. Also, after the 20 second waiting period (which ensures people actually view member's sites), you have the ability to continue surfing for credits by clicking a "click next" link or the appropriate number or color code of our anti-cheat device on the surf bar. You may surf for credits as long as you wish.
Explain "credits" and why in my stats area I see credits?
Credits relate to the number of times you view other member's pages or your own webpages are viewed. Every time you surf for hits and wait at least 20 seconds (or a downline member does) our system validates a series of credits which correspond to our current ratio. For example, a 2 to 1 ratio means that you would have to view 2 webpages to receive 1 credit. This translates into 0.5 credits for each page view (for free members). In addition you receive credits from your downlines activity. When your webpage is viewed by another member one credit is deducted from your account.
How come I never see my webpage?
You do not want to waste credits looking at your own site do you? You will never see your own site, but rest assured 1000's of other members will. (If you surf for credits regularly).
How do I set my browser's Start Page?
At Hillbillihits, you need to login to your account to surf.
Where do I find my referral URL?
Your referral link is included in your welcome email, and also in your members area.
How fast are my credits used up?
The time it will take to use up your credits will vary greatly depending on: the number of members in the system, the amount of traffic they are generating, and the speed at which you are earning credits to replace those used up.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Once you run out of credits your page is no longer displayed. You can either start to earn more credits for free, or you can purchase credits directly from the site at a very affordable price.
Can I advertise more than one site at a time?
Yes. You may enter multiple URLs at signup or add and delete URLs later in your members area. Be sure NONE of your sites violate our Terms Of Service or your entire account will be deleted!
Why are some domains not allowed to be used in the system?
Various domains are set up to break out of frames when viewed. Some email domains do not receive email properly. If a domain causes a violation of our Terms Of Use, it has been added to our banned Domains list.
Will you send me the email addresses of my referred members?
NO. Your privacy is important to us. We will not give anyone's email address to anyone!
Why was my website name rejected?
Your website name should not contain any spaces or special characters, otherwise an error message will be displayed.
When will my account be re-instated from suspension?
Members who have answered 10 security questions incorrectly are automatically suspended for three days, regardless of their account level. This process is automatic. Please do not submit a contact request to reinstate your account. NOTE: Security questions are in place to provide a more secure exchange for the entire membership. Please pay close attention to these questions as they change periodically.
Should I report broken member links while surfing?
NO! Please do not report broken member links. It is not unusual for a website to go offline occassionaly. It is the responsibility of each member to make sure their websites are online and operational and maintain the URLs they add to our system.
Do I receive surf credit for broken pages?
YES! Wait for the timer to count down then click through to the next member's website. You receive full credit regardless of the functionality of any third party website.
What size banner is accepted?
A standard 468x60 banner.
